Pressure Transmitters
Pressure transmitters type SD 30 are suitable for fluid and geseous media that do not corrode stainless steel AISI 316 Ti (1.4571) / 316 L (1.44435) and FPM (Viton). Three basic models are available.
(r) 0-100mbar up to 0-25 bar relative pressure": atmosphere-based measurement, ventilation to the atmosphere
(a) 0-100mbar up to 0-1000 bar absolute pressure": absolute zero-based measurement, completely sealed
(ü) 0-100mbar up to 0-1000 bar overpressure": pressure above atmospheric pressure; atmospheric pressure=the ambient air pressure during production of the transmitter.
The pressure transmitters are temperature compensated. Their output signal is calibrated. The piezoresistive sensor is separated from the medium by a thin stainless steel diaphragm. A silicone oil filling behind the diaphragm protects the sensor. The ground connection of the plug is connected to the case. The transmitters can be attached to chemical seals, e.g. for food and beverage industries (sanitary transmitters).
Pressure transmitters model SD 25 are suitable for measuring overpressure of ranges between 0-1 bar to 0-250 bar of fluid or gaseous media that do not corrode stainless steel AISI 303 (1.4305), FPM (Viton) and aluminum oxide ceramics Al203. The transmitters can be attached to chemical seals, e.g. for food and beverage industries (sanitary transmitters). The medium pressure acts directly on a ceramic membrance that deflects under the influence of the pressure. This deflection changes the ouput signal of the wire resistance strain gauge (DMS) mounted on the backside of the ceramic membrane. The electronics integrated into the housing transform the DMS signal into an electrical output signal of 4...20 mA or 0...10 V DC.
